I am scared for Week 1 and the Chicago Bears 2021 season

We are officially one week away from the NFL 2021 regular season and as a Bears fan, I am preparing myself to be tortured watching this team this year. Why? Oh buddy where the hell do you want to start?

Let's first just hit the obvious, Andy Dalton is about to have Chicago wanting to disown the Bears as their hometown team. Andy "Red Rifle" Dalton is a rifle that was used in World War 1 and is bound to get jammed on you. The veteran QB is going into his 11th year in the NFL and has accomplished. the title of the most average QB of all time. It is obvious, dead obvious that Justin Fields should start. However, Coach Nagy seems like he does not like going back on promises and doesn't want Fields getting hurt by the best defensive player in the league, Aaron Donald.

Yes the Rams were the number one defense in the league with the best corner in the league in Jalen Ramsey and they dominated the bears offense last year. But, you cannot shelter Fields just because the defense is tough. Not to mention, very mean of Matt Nagy to let Andy Dalton just get absolutely ruined by the Rams on Sunday Night Football.

The week one game and QB situation is not the only awful thing for the Bears. In a league where the passing game is dominant and having a schedule where you face Aaron Rodgers(twice), Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, and Russell Wilson. The need for good secondary is huge and Ryan Pace just decided to ignore that and let Kyle Fuller go. Putting all the pressure on 2nd year corners, Jaylon Johnson and Kindle Vildor. Aaron Rodgers will absolutely embarrass these corners all season long. Kill me now.

The Bears O-line would get dominated by Bishop Sycamore it is that bad. According to PFF.com, the Bears O-line is ranked 28th in the NFL. With Germain Ifedi and Elijah Wilkinson both starting and never have gotten a PFF grade over 60, it does not look like Fields or Dalton will have a lot of time in the pocket. Then lets add the 39 year old Jason Peters. Thirty-nine years old in the NFL translates to 100 year old person in real life. How the hell can you pass the ball or even run the ball when the o-line will not be able to touch anybody?

Do not get me wrong, I am very excited for NFL football to be back. I am just not ready for the frustration and sadness that is about too destroy me once the season starts. All I know is that it if I could handle Marc Trestman, I can handle the awful leadership of Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace. Godspeed.
